A new company backed by 400 years' experience, Schroders Personal Wealth is a joint venture between Lloyds Banking Group and Schroders – two of the UK’s largest names in banking and asset management.

AMC was asked to lead the search to appoint a new iNED to the SPW HoldCo Board. The brief was to find someone with deep expertise in technology, data, and artificial intelligence (AI), combined with a strong background in wealth management.

AMC duly delivered a longlist of candidates with proven track records of driving innovation within the financial services sector, particularly in wealth management, with a keen understanding of the transformative potential of AI and data analytics. This was balanced with robust governance experience, to ensure a balanced approach to risk and opportunity.

Candidates were sourced from the worlds of FinTech, Consultancy, Challenger Banks, Wealth Management, AI advisory and Insurance. As well as established iNEDs, AMC’s extensive network also delivered a number of high potential, “next generation” iNED candidates with 46% of the longlist being from diverse backgrounds.
